A new success story For Audi, racing means testing limits, accepting challenges and always breaking new ground. From the successes of the quattro models in the 1980s, a straight line leads to the electrification of the Dakar Rally. Audi entered the race there for the first time in January 2022 with a new drive concept – an electric powertrain combined with an energy converter system comprising a TFSI engine and generator² – and impressed right away. The end of the rally also marked the start of preparations for the 2023 Dakar and work on the Audi RS Q e-tron¹.
