Less weight: The second generation of the Dakar vehicle was to be lighter. To this end, the design and individual components were consistently adapted to reduce weight.

More energy: All consumers in the vehicle were screened for savings potential in the interests of improved energy management.

More access: The rims of the Audi RS Q e-tron¹ now have wider openings to facilitate possible tyre changes. In addition, the retaining system for the spare wheel was revised in response to feedback from the driver teams.

A lot of communication: In the tightest of spaces, the driver and co-driver must be able to understand and rely on each other blindly.

Less aerodynamic drag: Adjustments to the design of the Audi RS Q e-tron¹ have reduced the cW value by 15 per cent.

Clear line: The new Audi RS Q e-tron¹ also features quotes from the design language of the Audi production models – particular emphasis was placed on the lighting design.

A lot of experience: Audi will again compete in 2023 with the three driver teams that made the successful Audi debut possible at the past rally.

On our way to the Dakar Rally 2023 we are accompanied by Felix von der Laden. He is one of the most prominent German social media personalities, and even at his young age he looks back on several TV productions and travels to more than 40 countries. Over 3 million followers are subscribed to his YouTube channel.
Apart from his social media existence, Felix von der Laden has also been pursuing his passion for racing as a professional racing driver since 2017. Among other things, Felix participated in the 2018 GT4 European Series and in the ADAC GT4 Germany in the following year. Due to his expertise, we are happy to have him on our Road to Dakar team. We are looking forward to exciting insights with him by our side.
